Qatar Charity (QC) is an international non-profit and non-governmental humanitarian organization founded in the State of Qatar in 1980.

In Qatar, QC is duly registered with the Ministry of Endowment and Islamic Affairs - Serial No. 06 dated 24/07/1994 - under law No (2) of 1974, amended by decree-law No (17) 1989 and law No (8) of 1998, which regulates the work of private societies and foundations.

In Pakistan, Qatar Charity is duly registered with the Economic Affairs Division, Ministry of Economic Affairs & Statistics under Registration No. 4(69) EA.NGO/06.

QC has its headquarters in Doha, State of Qatar and is administered by a General Assembly and a Council of Directors supported by a set of executive specialized departments and sections overseeing the execution of its yearly action plan and strategy.
QC is the oldest and biggest voluntary organisation in the State of Qatar. QC has been in a consultative status with the UN ECOSOC since 1997.

By the end of 2008, QC is serving in more than 36 countries mainly in Asia, Africa and Southern Europe either through its field offices or through national partners in the host countries.
In Asia, QC has offices in Pakistan, Indonesia and Bangladesh.

QC has been introduced to the humanitarian scene in Pakistan early 1992.

Qatar Charity is a development-oriented NGO.In Pakistan, QC has launched a Five Year Plan 2007 – 2011. Under this Plan, QC is undertaking programmes associated with the socio-economic development of the country particularly in the fields of basic education, primary healthcare, small enterprise development, water and sanitation, women's empowerment, civil society capacity building, relief and emergency response.

Source of Funds
All the funds accrued to Qatar Charity are originally generated in the State of Qatar. People from all walks of life donate generously for QC enabling us to carry on with our activities. Hence, Qatar Charity receives funds from the following sources in order to realize its social and humanitarian objectives:
